Stardust put our styling caps on this week when we shot at the East End institution that is The George Tavern in Hackney. It’s such a fabulous place we took a few photos for you. It’s been a public house for over 700 years, mentioned in the writings of Chaucer, Pepys and Dickens and is now run by Pauline Forster and her partner Toby Penrose. They have transformed it into a wonderland of vintage artifacts and furnishings that Miss Haversham would feel comfortable in. Recently under threat of closure it attracted a fantasy line up of supporters including Kate Moss, (pictured here with Pauline) Grace Jones and Sir Ian Mckellen to the campaign to ‘Save the George Tavern’. Well we couldn’t loose that light up dance floor could we!

How we are loving the prairie looks for this fall 2012, so much so that we had to jump the gun, ha! and hustle some vintage pieces into Stardust quicker than you can say whip crack away! You can find them in our Frontier trend with more to come during the summer. Isabel Marant has done a stirling job mixing up the wild west and little house on the prairie, and we have added a little Ali Macgraw in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid into our mix… just call us Laura… Ingalls naturally .

Here at Stardust we have been keeping a keen eye on the goings on over at SPFW and there has been a lot to see with 34 shows to watch over six days. The top catwalk show in Latin America had a theme for Summer 2013, ’We Transform: Stories Worth Telling’ that focused on sustainability and local production. We loved the stand-out swim wear (well it is Brazil) updated Ikat prints and blissed out boho luxe, but our favorites were the designers who used bold prints and graphic lines. This is our São Paulo Stardust round up…

From left to right, Têca, Têca, Água de Coco P/Liana Thom, Adriana Degreas, Uma Raquel Davidowicz, Reinaldo Lourenço, Vitorino Campos.
